Question

When should we arrive in Porto and how long should we stay?

Answer

We will be arriving in Porto on Tuesday, April 29th and staying until Friday, May 2nd. Many guests will arrive on Wednesday, April 30th. On Friday, we will train or have transport to Douro Valley so we arrive in the area a day before the wedding. We’ve listed recommended hotels and where we are staying in each area, but please feel free to book wherever you’d like. You are also welcome to stay in Porto until Saturday and train/uber to the venue Saturday morning. Please let us know if you have any questions we are happy to help!!

Where should we stay the night of the wedding?

Answer

We recommend staying at the venue, Quinta da Pacheca. They have a hotel on property and we can’t speak highly enough about our experience there. We think you will love it. There are enough rooms for all the night of the wedding, but you are welcome to stay at the other recommended hotel or anywhere in the area. Please note arranged transportation will be from Hotel Vila Galé collection Douro. If you choose to stay anywhere else you will need to call a taxi (no Ubers).
