Question

Can I bring a plus one/guest?

Answer

Your invitation is addressed to those who are invited. If that includes a guest by name, then yes! If not, we prefer to just have you attend. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We want you to be able to kick back, relax, and celebrate with us, which is why we have decided to have an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements to leave the kids at home.

I can't attend all events - is that okay?

Answer

Of course! Come when you can – just don’t forget to RSVP “no” to events you won’t be attending.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the best present of all and we are lucky to have all that we need. However, if you would like to get us a gift, we would appreciate contributions toward our honeymoon fund.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Although you can’t predict the exact weather this time of year on the Gold Coast, typically the temperature is 27 during the day and 19 of a night.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Accommodation is available for booking to those who wish to stay on site. Please see our Travel Page for more information on booking your stay.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We are not providing transportation to and from the Estate. There is plenty of parking available on site.

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking on site. After you drive up the driveway to reception, they will tell you where to park. Please be mindful that there is to be no parking on nature strips (grassed areas) around the Estate.

Can I take photos?

Answer

We have hired a professional photographer to capture our special day and ask that you do not use your cell phones during the ceremony. However, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos of the rest of the wedding! Please only share on social media once we have.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After we say ‘’I do’’, we welcome you to join us for cocktail hour where there will be beer and champagne and light canapes. Formal dinner to follow at 6:00pm.

What time does reception end? Will there be an after party?

Answer

Receptions end at 11pm but you can keep on parting in your accommodation! Alternatively, you can get some rest ahead of the pool party the next day!

Can I smoke on the property?

Answer

The venue is a smoke free property. However, you are welcome to smoke in the designated smoking area. It has a view!

Can we play music in our accommodation after 10pm?

Answer

Excessively loud music puts Austinvilla at risk of being reported to the Queensland Police, being fined up to $25,000.00, or both. Any fines incurred as a result of a transgression of the directive will be for you to pay.

What's the go with the bar?

Answer

We have put on a bar tab covering beer, wine and soft drink. If the tab runs out the bar will become a cash bar. If it doesn’t, more drinks on us for the pool party! The bar does close at 10pm.

I'm not staying on site, what time do I need to leave?

Answer

All non-staying guests will be required to leave the Main Homestead at 10pm unless you are booked into overnight accommodation on site.

Is Austinvilla Estate BYO?

Answer

Austinvilla Estate is a fully licensed venue and strictly no BYO. A fine of $150 (per incident) will be levied to guests found using illegal substances or consuming their own alcohol on the premises. If you bring your own drinks, please leave them in your accommodation out of staff site and take your rubbish with you, thank you.

I made a mess, is there a cleaning fee?

Answer

Yep! A fee of $150 will apply per each clean-up incident caused by intoxicated persons in any of the facilities on site. An additional $200 will apply in the event that a professional cleaning service is required for the carpets, floors, curtains, and furniture.

Question

I'm staying Wednesday night, what's for breakfast Thursday morning?

Answer

When you call to book in your accommodation you'll be asked if you liked to book in for the recovery breakfast. This is completely up to you.
