Summer of 2010, Jessica's brother, Wayne, invited her to go to Remley's Point rope swing in Mount Pleasant with his friends. This is where Thomas saw Jessica for the first time. He told his friend, "She's cute! I want to meet her!". He was too shy to say anything to her (keep in mind, they we're in high school), so he asked his friend to text her later to hang out with them. Later that day, Jessica received the text to hang out with them, and thank goodness she said yes! After Jessica and Thomas hung out a few times, Thomas finally asked Jessica for her number. About a month later, after hanging out more and more, they were at the Ion dock with a group of friends where Jessica heard from a friend that Thomas really wanted to date her. Thomas and Jessica went to the beach that night, on August 11, 2010, where he finally asked the question, "Will you be my girlfriend?" 12 years later, on July 31, 2021, he asked the 2nd most important question on Shem Creek, "Will you marry me?" We cannot wait to make it official and be Husband and Wife... FINALLY!!
