Listen, I'm not going to bore you with a meet-cute story about the time Jessica and I met. We met on Tinder. I super-liked her and told her she looks like a "Real-Life Merida." Things went from there. But the moment I knew that Jess was the one for me came on our very first date, a U.K. basketball game. Somewhere midway through the second half, my back started really tensing up. Bleacher seats are awful. With U.K. up a million points on some school that I can't remember, I complained about my back. Jessica asked if I'd like to walk around the concourse to help loosen things up. So we walked and talked for what felt like seconds, but also hours. What truly registered with me was how much she already cared for me and how much she made me laugh. As someone with a chronic illness, pain is no stranger to me and here I had found someone who was truly dedicated to helping me through it. For over three and a half years now, Jess has always been there to care for me and I'd like to think she would say the same. We help each other. Just as importantly, we get each other and love each other very much. I can't wait to share that love with our friends and family in August.
