The evening was perfect. The sky blotted with thin clouds and the setting sun glimmering through them. Jessica and Skylar were on a 'staycation' at a local hotel in Laguna Beach. Skylar had, three weeks prior, met with Jessica's parents and asked for permission over a bottle of Don Julio Anejo for Jessica's hand in marriage. It was arranged for the Robletos and Glasiers to await Skylar and Jessica's passing by in front of 'Splashes Restaurant and Bar' just above the sand. At around 5pm, Jessica and Skylar began walking up the beach toward 'Splashes.' Once they made it to just in front of 'Splashes,' Skylar stopped Jessica, and told her he had an important question to ask her. They both started tearing up. He dropped to his knee. She said yes. The restaurant and bar patrons at 'Splashes' roared in applause and cheering. It was such a meaningful experience embarking on the engagement in the presence of their families, and at the restaurant where, three and a half years earlier, Jessica and Skylar had their first date.
In William Shakespeare's comedy, he captures the spirit of the summer season by describing an enchanted woodland "where the wild thyme blows" and "oxlips and the nodding violet grows." The story follows Athenian lovers who find themselves immersed in an enchanted forest. Unbeknownst to them, this world is inhabited by mischievous fairies who lead them into some serious romantic misadventures. This is where the plot thickens... Meet us by moonlight at The Hills Hotel. As the world recedes into darkness, that's when the true magic will happen, and where lovers will meet their destiny.
