All Aboard, We’re Getting Married!

It was the fall of 2019 when I first crossed paths with Sebastian. I was a nursing student, eager to learn, and he was my preceptor for a few weeks during my clinical rotation. At the time, I was still married, and our relationship was purely professional—just a nice acquaintance. During those weeks, I learned so much from Sebastian, especially about how to properly care for critically ill patients. He was patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to teach, leaving a lasting impression on me. Fast forward to 2020, I reached out to Sebastian on Facebook Messenger, needing a letter of recommendation. Being the kind person he is, he agreed to help me out. But life got in the way, and that letter… well, it never actually materialized! We laughed about it later, of course. Then came the summer of 2021. I was newly divorced, and on a whim one day, I decided to create a Bumble account. Little did I know that within five minutes of setting up my profile, I would be "super swiped" by none other than Sebastian! His first message, ever the gentleman, was, “What are you doing on here? Aren’t you married?” That simple question opened the door to a conversation about all the life changes that had taken place for both of us. A few days later, Sebastian asked me out on a date, and as they say, the rest is history. The last four years have been filled with love, joy, laughter, and countless adventures together. His two wonderful daughters, Nadia and Daphne, have been such a blessing in my life. We’re beyond excited for the next chapter and can’t wait to officially unite as a family.
