Get Outside

Bend has endless opportunities for year-round recreation. It might be colder temperatures in November, so pack your layers and waterproof gear. We hope you're able to explore while you're in town and see why we've fallen in love with Bend!

Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway

Bend, OR

Take a pretty drive! Some of our favorite stops along this drive are Sparks Lake, Devils Lake, and Todd Lake. This is a seasonal road so double check that it's open before committing to the drive.

Deschutes River Trail

Bend, OR

Great for a beautiful walk, run, or bike ride. This trail runs on both sides of the river and goes through The Old Mill.

Dillon & Benham Falls Trailhead

Bend, OR

A mellow out and back hike that run along the Deschutes River.

Green Lakes Loop

Bend, OR

One of our absolute favorite hikes in Bend! Approximately 9 miles out and back and rated easy/intermediate. Double check that the Cascade Highway is open before heading out on this one.

Mt. Bachelor

Bend, OR

Our favorite place to bike in the summer and snowboard in the winter! November is usually an off season for Bachelor but you can still drive to West Village to see the mountain, hike around, and stop in the lodge.

Phil's Trailhead

Bend, OR

Rent a mountain bike and pedal around the most popular trailhead in Bend.

Pilot Butte

Bend, OR

An epic spot for a sunset and on a clear day, views of all the mountains. It's an easy 2 mile hike or if the seasonal access road is open, you can drive all the way to the top.

Smith Rock State Park

Terrebonne, OR

A popular spot to hike and rock climb 26 miles north of Bend.

Tam McArthur Rim Trailhead

Sisters, OR

Where we got engaged! It's a challenging but beautiful 5 mile out and back hike. Be sure to stop in Sisters if you check this one out.

Tumalo Falls

Bend, OR

Another one of our favorites in Bend. If the seasonal access road is open, this spot has stunning views just minutes from the trailhead. You can still access it if the road is closed via Skyliner Trail (approximately 7 miles out and back).

Tumalo Mountain

Bend, OR

A challenging 4 mile out and back hike near Mt Bachelor. On a clear day, you’ll get amazing views!

Whychus Creek Overlook

Sisters, OR

An easy 1 mile loop just outside of Sisters with a pretty overlook.
