Question

I did not see a gift registry, where can I find it?

Answer

We do not have a gift registry. We have been together for almost 13 years. We have a blender, dishes, and everything else a household needs. Your presence, generous support, advice, and continued love is ALL we need.

Question

Virtual Ceremony vs. Live

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, unfortunately, we are not permitted to celebrate with ALL of our friends and family in-person. Yet, everyone is welcomed to share our joy virtually, via Zoom. We will hold a small (outdoor, social distanced, COVID19 tested, quick) gathering with our parents and siblings.

Question

I’m worried about COVID-19, should I attend?

Answer

As an added wedding favor, we want to give you the peace of mind of knowing your status. We are gifting you a COVID-19 test. Everyone attending (staff included) will be tested for antibodies and the current virus. After testing, if you are COVID-19 negative, we welcome you with open arms and can even hug. Unfortunately, if you test positive, you will not be able to physically attend, but can join us via Zoom.

Question

Is it legal to hold a party at this time?

Answer

We are taking every precaution possible. We are staying below the allowable number put in place by Prince Georges County, MD. All guests and staff will be tested for COVID19. The event will be outdoors.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Garden attire. The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting). Ladies we may prefer comfortable flats or wedges.

Question

How will you test me for COVID-19?

Answer

Your health is a priority. Please contact us independently if you have specific questions. 100% of our guest and staff are REQUIRED to be tested for COVID-19, with no exceptions. Everyone will receive a COVID-19 Ig/IgM Rapid Test (also known as Whole blood/Serum/Plasma test). A simple finger prick, collection of 2-3 drops of blood, 10 mins later we will know your results.

Question

When will I be tested?

Answer

To avoid waiting for testing on-site, we would ideally like to test you 2-3 days prior to the wedding. If you are staying at the hotel, Jessica’s big sister, Johanna will be administering tests at the hotel Friday, September 11.

Question

I can’t meet you before the day of the wedding, how do I get my test?

Answer

All guests will check-in curbside. Please find your name and proceed as instructed. if you have pre-tested you will be allowed to proceed to the welcome table. If you have not tested, you will be asked to take a test at a different location in the front area. Only after you are tested and confirmed to be negative will you be allowed to join the other guests.

Question

What if I was already tested and was negative?

Answer

Congratulations! We are thrilled that you tested negative. Keep up the good work. For the safety and peace of mind of all guests, we will require you to take the COVID-19 Ig/IgM Rapid Test prior to attending the wedding.

Question

Even if I test negative, can I wear a mask?

Answer

Yes, even though you test negative and feel the most comfortable wearing your mask, you can continue to wear a mask throughout the event.

Question

My invitation is only under my name; can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to celebrate with a great number of our family and friends. Unfortunately, for health and safety precautions, our numbers are limited, and no additional guests will be permitted.
