Transportation - Kelly Bus Tours

On the wedding day, we will be providing a 40 passenger bus for shuttle service between the Hyatt, the Citadel Chapel, and the Cedar Room Saturday. Meet the bus outside the lobby of the Hyatt. The first shuttle departs at 1:00 PM with the wedding party. The last shuttle from the Hyatt to the Chapel will leave around 2:30 PM. After the ceremony, the shuttle service will take the guests from the Chapel to the Cedar Room until all guests are at the reception. The shuttle service will continue from the Cedar Room to the Hyatt every half hour until 9:50 PM.

Is the wedding reception adults only or are children allowed?

Answer

We request it be an adult-only reception, with the exception of babies under the age of 3. They can come and celebrate as long as they are with an adult at all times.

What do I wear to the wedding?

Answer

It's business casual. For men, a shirt and tie or suit with no tie are fine. For the women, wear any color or patterned dress with the exception of white, ivory, etc.

Are you (Rob and Jess) staying longer than the weekend?

Answer

YES! We encourage you to make this trip vacation for yourselves! Rob and I will be staying from the Wednesday before our wedding in Charleston and then we'll be in Hilton Head Island from Sunday afternoon to Wednesday. We hope to enjoy the beaches and spend time with you other than our wedding day. We will provide you with a list of places to stay, resorts, places to visit, and eat while in Charleston, and more!

What about parking on the wedding day?

There will be parking available at both the Citadel, as well as, at the reception venue.

Can we take any pastries or drinks with us after the reception is concluded?

Answer

Unfortunately no, but Mercantile and Mash have an amazing downstairs bar with incredible mixologists and bar games to keep the party going! All you need is an ID to get in.

Are there Ubers or Lyfts available throughout Charleston?

Answer

Yes, both services are available, but they are not allowed to pick you up at the airport. There is a taxi service for you instead.

What should I wear while down in South Carolina?

Answer

Wear light, breathable, flowy clothing. The humidity can be between 60-80% during the summer months with a UV index up to 9. So make sure to pack your sunscreen and some shades!

Is smoking allowed?

Answer
