Our story begins our fourth semester of nursing school during clinical. We had endured 3 whole semesters of our school's program with multiple courses together and never had spoken a word to each other. There were only 2 of us per clinical group so we essentially were forced to communicate. However, we quickly discovered how easy our conversation felt and flowed; we immediately hit it off. Our clinical conversations turned into Starbucks study dates. During our conversations, we discovered that the things we prayed for in the couple of weeks before during 21 days of prayer were becoming a reality right in front of our eyes. We had trusted Jesus in his promises and He was faithful always. For the following months, we attempted to keep our growing relationship on the down low since we had all of our classes together. We couldn't hide it for long as our friends started to catch on to side conversations between classes, walking to our cars together and small flirting moments that we thought were nonchalant. After 5 months of this, on May 2nd 2019, RJ asked me to be his "official" girlfriend -- how cute. We graduated that August and went on to start our brand new jobs in the nursing field. We balanced opposite schedules, demanding work hours and new adult life things and watched our relationship grow into something neither of us ever imagined. I bought a house, RJ was getting ready to apply to CRNA school and life was flying by. On November 22, 2020, RJ proposed to me in the home I had just purchased right before we had our closest friends and family over to see it. I remember being so shocked, surprised and overcome with happiness and emotion as I watched the man I had fallen so hard for ask me to be his wife. We will say our "I dos" and begin our lives together as a married couple on October 24, 2021. We cannot be more excited for this new chapter in our lives and are excited for all the ways the Lord will guide our family.
