The ceremony will begin promptly at 12pm. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time - allowing time to find a seat! There are no assigned seats and you are welcomed to sit on either side of the aisle!
The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. Cocktail hour will take place indoors and Powel House will also be open for you to view during cocktail hour and the reception.
The Powel House is a historic location and is not updated to ADA standards. All events are taking place on the ground level with options to view upstairs, if you are able. If you are needing accessibility please contact us directly.
Yes, food and drinks will be served during cocktail hour and the reception. Our wedding is a brunch style wedding with common brunch foods - think chicken and waffles, donuts and quiche!
Yes, the bride is a vegetarian so there will definitely be vegetarian options available! We will have a wide variety of food with options for many dietary needs. If you have special dietary needs please contact us directly.
Think classy/sharp garden party look! What the heck does that mean? Nice dress pants, buttonup shirt, ' and wit or witout' a tie! No suit is required but you can definitely wear one if you desire! Cocktail and dressy causal dresses/outfits, totally appropriate! Wedges and block heels may be easier to navigate as the venue is mostly brick pavers and grassy areas!
We will have music playing but there is no formal dance floor. There is a brick space for those who chose to dance! We plan to have a variety of lawn games to enjoy during the reception!
The venue has a very strict 100 person capacity and we cannot accommodation all children. Your invitation will provide information about those invited. Should we have more space than anticipated we will let you if additional guest can be accommodated. Children may be invited to the additional events taking place during the weekend and we will let you know which events apply!
During October the average ranges in the high to mid 60s, during the day and mid 40s at night. This can be a chance of rain during October.
We would love to welcome all who want to celebrate our special day, however, our venue only allows a maximum of 100 people. We anticipate having close to 100 people in attendance and will not be able to allow 'plus ones' should they not have received a formal invitation.
After the ceremony the bride and groom will take some photos in and around Powel House. Guests will proceed inside the house for cocktail hour and touring the house. During this time the ceremony area will be changed into the reception area!
Yes! We have planned events for days leading up to the wedding and post wedding. You are welcomed to attend as many or as little as you want.
At this time we do not have a block of hotel rooms for guests. We will update this information should that change. Please head over to our travel section for details on accommodations.
We are so excited to share our special day with all of you! During the ceremony we request that you refrain from taking photos, as we will have a professional photographer, and we want you to enjoy the moment. After the ceremony, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!) We request that you RSVP no later than September 1st, 2021. We are encouraging guests to RSVP once you have decided whether you can attend!
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
