Rafi and I first met on Instagram! (During the time when direct messaging was non-existent). To have an actual conversation you had to comment below a picture! Luckily for Rafi, I had my kik username (a form of direct message) on my bio, so it was pretty easy for him to contact me lol. We spoke for a week or so until he decided to ask me on a date. He suggested we go see a movie, but I had other plans. We then agreed on meeting outside of my job (American Eagle on Times Square) and somehow we ended up having dinner at Olive garden two blocks away. Not sure how we ended up there ;) lol. Rafi was quiet for most of the time. On the other hand, I was more of a chatterbox. He sat there with his coat on, smiling back at me, observing the hot mess that I was, I guess he enjoyed it. He looked like a teddy bear with a beard and I thought he was so handsome. The journey has been fun! We’ve learned to accept each other for who we are, and that LOVE is an action word, not just a feeling. It’s chosing to do right by each other even when we don’t feel like it. We’ve now been together for 6-7 years, and because of MENTORSHIP, we chose to live our life right and commit to one another for the rest of our lives.
