I knew Nathan was special the moment I laid eyes on him. We were both at school for a basketball shootout, we were both exhausted from the long day, and we were both ready to head home. But I remember it clear as day- the moment I saw him from across the gym. I know, sounds cheesy, but there was something about him that drew me to him- a calming presence that shocked a spark. One of my teammates and I were actually joking about who would get him first (as I was joking with her- I wasn't joking about the fact that I was about to make this handsome, 6'6'', glowing man mine). I could go into details about how hard he was to get. Like seriously, it was not your ordinary chase. But I was convinced that I needed to know who this kid was. What the Holy Spirit made so clear, that I didn't fully understand the first time, was that this man was special. And boy is he ever. I was in love with Nathan the first time I laid eyes on him. It's weird to look back at those times. To look back at how we both have changed- physically, emotionally, and spiritually. How I am actually better friends with his friends than he is, and the connection that the Lord has created in us as a couple. When I say this man is my bestfriend, he is everything I need and more! Putting Christ first in everything we do- I am so honored to become a Bubash!
