FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jessica Bair and Micheil Stewart
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than September 12th so we can finalize all the details with our lovely vendors.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

For our guests traveling in from out of town, Seattle-Tacoma International Aiport is the main airport serving the area.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan on arriving at the church in Bremerton by 1:00pm, about 30 minutes prior to our ceremony. This will allow time for you park, find a seat, and settle in before the Mass begins.

Question

Are there ferries involved?

Answer

Depending on where you are staying or traveling from, you may use the Seattle–Bremerton ferry to travel to our ceremony. Please check ferry schedules in advance and allow extra travel time, especially on weekends. The Bremerton Ferry takes about an hour, and then a 5 minute drive to Our Lady Star of the Sea.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding.

Question

Is there a gap between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Yes. Because our ceremony and reception are at different locations, there will be some time between the Mass and cocktail hour. We anticipate our ceremony ending around 2:30pm, and then a travel time of 50 minutes to our reception. We encourage guests staying overnight in the area to check into accommodations before joining us for cocktail hour at 4pm .

Question

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

Please explore the Hotel & Travel section of our website for more information and recommendations.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail or semi-formal attire is perfect. Our ceremony will be in a Catholic church, so we ask guests to dress respectfully for Mass while still feeling festive for the reception.

Question

What should I know about the Catholic Nuptial Mass?

Answer

All guests are warmly welcome to attend, regardless of religious background. There will be moments of sitting, standing, and kneeling, and you are welcome to participate as much as you feel comfortable. During Communion, practicing Catholics who are properly disposed may come forward to receive the Eucharist. Guests who are not receiving Communion are welcome to remain seated, but are also welcome to come forward with arms crossed over their chest to receive a blessing. Because the church is a sacred space, we kindly ask guests to silence phones, dress respectfully, and refrain from taking photos or videos during the Mass. We are so grateful to have you present as we begin our marriage in this beautiful sacrament.
