We first met each other in the Fall of 2016, during a meeting of the 942 Crew, the student organization we were both a part of at Arizona State University that works to increase student involvement and attendance at ASU athletic events. About a week after that meeting, Jess struck up a conversation with Michael by offering him a hard cider at a tailgate before the football game on September 10, 2016. That night we sat together in 101 degree heat as ASU beat Patrick Mahomes and Texas Tech 68-55. Our love for ASU sports is a core part of our relationship. We've watched or attended just about every ASU football and basketball game ever since.
