Hotel
We have a block of 9 rooms in the Tea House at this bed and breakfast. It is located up-island closer to where the wedding will take place. If you prefer to be within walking distance of restaurants and activities, we recommend hotels and BnBs in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. To book a room in the Tea House for 9/19 and 9/20 in our block, please call the hotel directly 508-645-2521 (recommended) or use the code J.Miller. Please reach out to us with any questions or if you need help booking.
House Or Rental
If you’re staying longer and prefer a house rental, we recommend VRBO, Airbnb, or WeNeedAVacation.com (specific to MA islands).
Travel Note
If you are taking your vehicle to celebrate with us, you must take the ferry from Wood's Hole, MA. Only one ferry route accommodates vehicles: Wood's Hole to Martha's Vineyard (Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs). You can buy tickets through the Massachusetts Steam Ship Authority (link provided). Tickets for September 2025 go on sale in January 2025. Vehicle spots are normally competitive, so we recommend purchasing tickets early. The price of vehicle spots varies. For cars, it is normally $100 each way and $10 per person. If you do not want to take your car over, we will help to arrange travel once on the island. (see additional ferry information below for more about passenger-only routes)
Flight
If you are flying in to celebrate with us Martha’s Vineyard has an airport on the island. There are regular flights from Chicago, NYC, Charlotte, DC, Philly, and Boston. There are rental car companies at all the airport. There are no ferries from Boston and the ferry from NYC's schedule is not yet finalized. If you are flying already, we recommend flying directly to the island, rather than flying to the northeast and then trying to arrange a ferry.
Travel Note
The most common way to access the island is via ferry. The link will show you all of the available ferry routes. The most common port is in Woods Hole, MA, but there are other options in RI, CT, NY, and NJ (not always operational - check in advance!). Note the only way to bring your car to the Vineyard is through the Woods Hole ferry. If bringing your own vehicle, we advise to book your ferry ticket as early as possible (we mean it - tickets become available January 2025). While our wedding is technically in the "off-season", there will still be competition for vehicle spots through September. There are numerous rent-a-car (or moped) companies on-island. Our wedding is located up-island (south west), away from all the main ports, so you will need access to some kind of vehicle to get to us. If you choose to come over without a vehicle, we can help to arrange travel.
