Although we both grew up in the same hometown, went to the same high school, and the same college (go Tigers!)... we didn't meet in person until 2017 at a mutual friend's wedding. We laughed, we danced, and later that evening Matt asked for hard proof that Jess *actually* went to Clemson because she was not, in fact, wearing her college ring that night. Despite the fun we had, we didn't think much of it since Matt & Moose lived in Atlanta and Jess & Barley lived in Charleston. After a few years of casual friendship and bumping into one another at Delaney's during holidays, we decided to test the long distance dating waters and see where the adventure took us!

Exactly 5 years and 1 day after meeting, Matt took Jess to Tallulah Gorge to enjoy the Fall leaves. As we hiked around the top of the gorge taking in the beautiful views, Jess had no idea that in Matt's pocket was the most perfect diamond ring. As we stood at an overlook, the crowd cleared and Matt knew it was the perfect moment to get down on one knee and ask Jess to spend the rest of their lives together. After 0 seconds of hesitation, she said YES!!
