Flight
The closest major commercial airport to Yosemite National Park. It has domestic flights and some international service, car rentals on-site, and is generally the most convenient arrival point for most visitors. The drive from FAT to Yosemite Valley is roughly 2 to 2.5 hours, and it’s slightly under 2 hours to areas like Yosemite West depending on traffic and entrance used.

A major international airport with frequent flights from around the world and many domestic hubs. The drive is longer (about 4 to 4.5 hours), but it’s a good option for guests coming from outside the U.S. or looking for more flight choices.

Yosemite Valley Shuttle The free Yosemite Valley Shuttle runs throughout the Valley and stops at major locations including Lower Yosemite Falls, Yosemite Village, Curry Village, and popular trailheads. This is the easiest way to move around the Valley without relocating your car. YARTS The Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System operates bus routes into the park from gateway towns, with year-round service along Highway 140 and seasonal service on other routes. This is an option for guests staying outside the park who prefer not to drive into Yosemite Valley. Biking Yosemite Valley has miles of mostly flat, paved bike paths. You can bring your own bike or rent one in the Valley. It is a beautiful and relaxed way to explore.
