Marcos and Jessica met through a mutual friend. Marcos recently moved to Tampa from New York in May of 2022. Jessica was looking for a barber for her sons and was referred to Marcos. Jessica sent the first text on 6/2/2022 and scheduled an appointment the very next day. Marcos at the time was doing mobile barbering and arrived at Jessica's home to cut her younger son's hair. Jessica met Marcos at the door, and her initial reaction was that he was attractive. Although they meet for the first time, the conversation felt natural and organic. The vibe was great. Marcos left and thanked Jessica for reaching out and Jessica responded we will definitely be in touch. About 2 weeks later, the mutual friend called to tell Jessica that Marcos thought she was beautiful and for her to flirt the next time he came around. On 6/19/22, this mutual friend had a BBQ and Marcos and Jessica attended the BBQ. It was obvious there was chemistry between the two. On 6/20/22, Marcos asked to take her to dinner to celebrate her birthday. The first date occurred on 6/24/22 at Armature Works in Tampa. From this day forward, the two have been inseparable. Within a couple of months into the relationship, talks about proposal, ring style, size, etc occurred amongst themselves and with family. The proposal was magical. They boarded the StarLite Majesty Dinner cruise on 3/23/2025 for a family dinner. A photographer on board asked them to step out on the deck for a family portrait. It started off as couple's photos leading into the family photos. When it was Jessica and Marcos's turn, the photographer told them to turn where their backs were against each other looking out to the sea. There were photos stepping out away from each other. When the photographer said to turn around, Marcos was down on one knee. Jessica said "YES!!!".
