Our Story

Marc and I were introduced the old-fashioned way, by our dads! They were both in AEPI at Delaware and stayed in touch over the years. When we were both living in D.C., my dad sent me Marc’s number and told me to reach out “to make a new friend.” So I did. We met for coffee, and I talked the entire time. From there, what started as a casual friendship slowly turned into dates just us two. After four months of being “just friends,” we finally admitted what everyone else probably already knew, and the rest is history! Since then, we’ve moved from D.C. to Conshohocken, adopted our dog, Waffles, and built a life together that we absolutely love. We’re so excited to celebrate our next chapter with all of you at our wedding!

The Proposal

Cape May NJ 12/13/2025

I planned a weekend trip to Cape May with Jess and our dog, Waffles. The plan she knew about was simple. A relaxing weekend and a visit to Cape May, NJ, with Waffles. What she did not know was that for months, I had been secretly coordinating the entire proposal and that both of our families were coming to celebrate. When we arrived on Friday in Cape May, we were blown away by the house and had a nice walk on the beach, followed by takeout from George's Place. When we woke up Saturday, we took waffles on a walk and to grab coffee. Jess just wanted coffee and nothing to eat, but I insisted she should eat something since I knew it would be necessary given the surprises. So I waited in line and got us scones. After our morning walk and breakfast it was time to go back and get ready for the winery. Jess asked me what I was wearing, and I said casual, but she soon realized I was more dressed up than she expected. After seeing my outfit, she quickly decided to change and dress up a little nicer and added some additional jewelry. I then realized she was catching on and I made up a fake plan that after the winery there was a surprise. When we arrived at the winery, I had already worked everything out with their event specialist. I went inside to check in while Jess stayed outside with Waffles. The coordinator then brought us around the property and walked us to the vineyard where they had set up a small table with wine and a “Will You Marry Me” display. Once we turned the corner I handed Waffles to the coordinator and walked Jess partway down the vineyard. At that point she realized what was happening. I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. After she said yes, Jess asked if anyone else was coming. I told her our families were on the way. About 10 to 15 minutes later they all arrived at the winery and surprised her. We spent the afternoon celebrating together before heading back to the house. When we walked in, the house was decorated and a private chef was waiting to cook dinner for all of us. What Jess thought was just a quiet weekend away turned into one of the most special days of our lives.
