Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jessica Conway and Marc Siler
If you get some free time to explore Charleston, here is a list of some fun things to do (weather permitting!).
Historic Downtown Charleston

Historic Downtown Charleston

Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Walking around downtown can be fun own its own! Check out Rainbow Row on East Bay, Waterfront Park, the Battery, and the beautiful historic houses on the southern peninsula. Charleston offers guided walking tours, as well as ghost tours at night!

South Carolina Aquarium

100 Aquarium Wharf, Charleston, SC 29401

A great indoor activity to learn about the local ecosystems of Charleston!

Charleston Tours - Brewery and Winery Tours

1529 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29407

If you want to check out the NUMEROUS breweries in Charleston, consider a tour or hop around yourselves. There are several breweries in walking distance from Edmond's Oast, in North Charleston.

Brittlebank Park

Brittlebank Park

185 Lockwood Drive, Charleston, SC 29403

A great place to catch the sunset! This is where Jessica and Marc had their first date and where they eloped.

Sullivan's Island Lighthouse

Sullivan's Island Lighthouse

1815 Ion Avenue, Sullivan's Island, SC 29482

If the weather is nice, consider a walk along the beach. The Sullivan's Island Lighthouse Tower is where Marc proposed to Jessica!

South Carolina Stingrays

5001 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston, SC 29418

Our local hockey team, the SC Stingrays will be playing home games on Friday and Sunday. The games are super fun and Marc and Jessica have had many dates there.

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

Charleston, SC 29414

A beautiful garden to walk around, a swamp trail, petting zoo, and a lot of history. As a plus, it won't be very crowded in January.

International African American Museum

14 Wharfside Street, Charleston, SC 29401

A new, beautiful museum dedicated to preserving and celebrating the stories of the African American experience across generations

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

40 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

Explore the military history of Charleston and tour the decommissioned WWII air craft carrier

Shem Creek

SC 29464

A creek lined with bars and the best sunset views. Check out the deck at Reds to see dolphins swim by, the tiki bar underneath Vickery's for chill vibes, or head to Shelter for the best rum punches (Category 6).

The Charleston Museum

The Charleston Museum

360 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403

A great indoor activity if the weather is bad. Learn about the Lowcountry's history and check out their natural history exhibit.

Parrot Surf & Skate

811 Coleman Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

Marc's favorite surf shop and where he buys literally all of his clothes!

Xiao Bao Biscuit

224 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29401

This is one of Jessica's favorite restaurants in the City. You MUST try the cabbage pancake.

Gene's Haufbrau

817 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29407

If you're looking for a local dive spot with good food and a fun atmosphere, look no further than Gene's!

Santi’s West Ashley

1660 Savannah Highway, Charleston, SC 29407

You want tacos and margs?? Here you go!

High Score Brewing Company

8120 Windsor Hill Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29420

If you like beer and old school video games (yes OG Mario and PacMan), this is the place for you. Fun fact: This is where Marc and Jessica play weekly music trivia (and dominate).

Hampton Park

30 Mary Murray Drive, Charleston, SC 29403

A beautiful walking park downtown filled with giant angel oak trees, a duck pond, and cute bridge for photo ops.

For all the days along the way
