The cabins are very nice for "cabins". There are options to book a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom. Each one comes with a small kitchenette, a living room, it's own bathroom, and then however many number of rooms you booked. They don't have heating or AC but each room will have a small portable heater in case you need it. The rooms also don't come with linens so please bring your own. More information on bed size and cabin amenities are available when booking.
I don't believe there is a time limit to when you need to book your cabin. It would be easier for Kris and I if you booked at least a couple weeks in advance so we can strategically place our guests in the cabin you will stay in (exp: keeping your cabin close to other family members or friends).
The number written on your RSVP card is the number of seats we have allotted for you. As I'm sure you understand, weddings can get very large very fast. Although we wish we could celebrate with everyone, under circumstances, we have had to have a limit on guests. For this reason we have decided to have a mostly kid-free wedding (other than family).
At this point we are planning "normally" but are keeping our ear out for rules and regulations that will affect us. The chances are extremely slim to postpone.
Yes. The wedding is outside weather permitting. There is an alternate place to get married at our venue if there is bad weather.
Our venue has expressed that they will follow all state mandates. As of today (June 25) we still are unable to have gatherings larger than 50 people in the state of Maine. This simply means we will have to strategically space our guests (exp: 50 inside, 50 on the porch, 50 outside, etc.). We are hoping the regulations will loosen but will let you all know accordingly.
This mandate has become less and less strict. As of July 1, if you are in the state you must self quarantine for 14 days according to the governor. We are hoping/expecting/praying this will loosen as we arrive closer to the wedding. Effective June 26, people who are not Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont residents and are visiting Maine lodging will be asked to sign a Certificate of Compliance indicating either that they have received a negative COVID-19 test result, that they will quarantine in Maine for 14 days, or that they have already completed their quarantine in Maine. This compliance form must be provided to check-in at all Maine lodging. In order to avoid any issues, if you are traveling from out of state it would likely be easiest if you complete a test before traveling. This way, your test results will be in before your arrival to Maine.
