We first met at an ugly sweater Christmas party that I (Jessica) was throwing at my home in December of 2018 (if you are our friend and were there, then y'all know the story... SHH), but we’re gonna keep it short and say we met through an old mutual friend. For months after that it was an occasional DM here and there, some texts, some ghosting periods and my many excuses as to why I couldn't hang out (I was scared, my bad) but Kasandra was so persistent and so sweet through it all. The real fun began in August of 2019 when Kasandra finally convinced me (Jessica) to go out to West Covina for the weekend. I was living in Ventura, CA at the time so I was a bit hesitant. But, after lots of self convincing (not really, it didn't take much) I made the decision to go. We went to dinner, to a bar and then headed to Disneyland the next day. After that initial weekend, we were inseparable. In September 2019, we made the spontaneous decision to go on a weekend getaway to Rosarito, Mexico. Though that trip was short and brief, that was where I knew Kasandra was it.. she was THE ONE (and I know she knew it too). We talk about it often and to this day that was one of our favorite trips. Anyways, so back to us being inseparable... we commuted back and forth between West Covina and Ventura about 4 times a week (crazy right? Our friends and family thought so too). Fast forward through Covid, shutdowns, getting a puppy (Kasandra's pride and joy) and a crazy few years, Kasandra left her roots and the forever missed nightlife and we moved into our beautiful home in the very mellow town of Santa Paula, CA in May of 2021. If you are familiar with Santa Paula, we don't even have a Walmart and have ONE grocery store. Kasandra always asked me "If I were to ask you to marry me, how would you want it?" my answer was always "I don't care as long as it's thought out by YOU". The proposal happened in our home on September 11, 2021. Kasandra planned the surprise (which was nearly impossible to keep a secret because I'm super nosy) with the help of our friends and family. It was the most beautiful and perfect proposal I could have asked for. Kasandra had me convinced we would be together 10+ years before marriage was ever thought of, so to say I was shocked was an understatement. Now, we're here. Close to our big day and so excited for all of you to celebrate our love with us. So thank you, THANK YOU to all of you who have loved us separate and together. We can't wait to celebrate with you! CHEERS to our love, to our future, and to a beautiful marriage!
