We met each other one night at a bonfire through a mutual best friend, Jd Cozad. We had known each other from High School and passed each other in the halls. We would even ride the same bus to away softball and baseball games. That night was the first night we officially met and started dating shortly after. Now 6 years later, after countless dates, fun trips, & binge watching almost every show on Netflix, Kalub finally popped the question. We can't wait to celebrate our day with those who matter most to us on 10.10.2020!
Hocking Hills has always been our spot to celebrate our yearly anniversaries, so by tradition Kalub booked a stay at a cabin through the Get Away Cabins in Hocking Hills. When we arrived, the bed was covered in rose pedals in a shape of a heart. What I didn't know was this was only the first surprise of the night. For dinner, Kalub planed to grill T-bone steaks with potatoes and corn. After starting the steaks on the grill, Kalub came inside and secretly pulled out the ring box from his pocket. I turned around and I was completely surprised to see him on his knee with the most beautiful ring asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. Saying yes was the easiest decision I've ever made. After all the tears and him telling me that my parents gave their blessing (who knew my mom can keep a secret for a whole month) we realized we got too caught up in the moment. Kalub rushed outside to the smoking grill - if you didn't already guess it, the steaks had burnt on one side. Luckily, I like my steak well done! Even though we could only eat half of our steaks, the night was everything I could have ever wished for. Kalub, I love you, I can't wait to be your wife.
