Well where do I start? I tend to work out extra early in the morning while being stationed in Turkey and on one particular day I just happen to see this girl in the gym at the same time I was. I was trying not to seem weird and stare at her so I would act as if I was staring in the mirror, when in actuality I was looking at her reflection the entire time and I was amazed by her beauty. When she would turn her head and look at me, I would turn my head because I didn't want to seem weird by just staring at her her and not saying one word. Months passed and I happened to see her in the grocery store with an OES shirt on. I thought to myself, this is the time to spark a conversation with her and IT WORKED!! We talked for maybe 3 whole minutes. I was thinking to myself, “damn she is beautiful. I better not mess this up!” Later that day it just so happened (less than an hour later) she returned to the grocery store. This time she was eating some cheese cake and asked if I could throw her paper plate in the trash. My ego spoke to me and said you are winning! Later that night I get a notification on Messenger that Jessica Richards wants to chat, connect, or something like that. I thought to myself “damn, I hope she’s into me” Unexpectedly, I went on leave back to America. A day didn’t pass without me sending her a message because I did not want this lady to pass me by. When I returned to Turkey, we hung out every day. As the days passed, I knew she was the one for me so I brought up the idea about us getting married. I was testing the waters to see what she thought. The sparkle in her eyes that confirmed to me that she was feeling the same way I was. That’s when I knew it was real. Jessica Richards is now Mrs. Walker and I've never been more excited about anything in my life. Honestly speaking, being stationed at Incirlik AB, Turkey kind of sucked for me but the day I met the Love of my Life, all that changed and now I have a best friend for life. #TeamWalker.
