Some may know her as Rachel, but we will forever know her as Matchmaking Queen! A mutual friend (and neighbor), planned an elaborate happy hour gathering of friends with the sole intent to introduce us. There were sparks. We are forever grateful for Rachel.
After the longest courtship in this modern dating age, we chose loving each other. We say chose because the love we built is far more meaningful and intentional than "falling". We've traveled, adventured, enjoyed, experienced and endured. Our love has grown deeper and more secure every day. There is no fear of the infinite possibilities of our future together.
A usual Saturday, riding bikes around our city (Austin, TX) for snacks and drinks turned extraordinary when Jess proposed to Julie at their usual neighborhood spot, Elizabeth St. Cafe. Kronenbourg 1664, escargot, champagne, and every single dessert on the menu was harmed in the making of this engagement.
Deciding where to get married was a challenge. We met in Austin, TX after all and continue to build our joyous life full of breakfast tacos, fur-babies, brewery visits, bike rides, and Greenbelt runs. Although our celebration will be undoubtedly Texas sized, we will exchange our vows in the very special place where Jess is from; Madison, WI (because the beer is better).
