Traditionally, there's a sequence to life events but our love story is anything but traditional. It is how our love works. The first time we met was in August of 2013. I thought he was trying to act “cool” (there was a different colloquial term that I wanted to use), so I started to banter with him, and he dished it right back. Our first date…. the mall, to look for shoes for J.R. & then Applebee’s! lol yea I don’t know what he was thinking either, but it happened to work. We were inseparable after that. We moved in together, had a couple of gorgeous daughters, bought a home, made each other mad at times but loved each other unconditionally every single day. We are each other’s best friend & companion. We have supported each other through many milestones, calamity, and laughed together through the happiest moments of our lives. When we would talk about marriage, we struggled on the topic because we did not want to burden any loved ones with the expenses and stressors of traveling. So, we decided to elope in the most beautiful scenic setting of Sedona. Of course, we missed our family & friends, but we are excited to celebrate our love at our receptions that will be more convenient for everyone we care about. We said our wedding vows privately to one another at a resort and I can tell you that after 9 years of being together, our love is only growing stronger and greater.
