Back in 2017, Jessica walked into church for the first time in a long time, and it became the place where she truly came to Christ. Among the group of friends she met there was Josh—who had recently moved from Ohio to New Jersey. From the very beginning, the two became inseparable. This past year brought a lot of changes for me, and through it all Josh had been gently encouraging me to come visit him in Ohio. While he was dropping hints, I wasn’t quite picking up on them. What I didn’t know was that Josh had been praying about this for a long time, and even his parents and pastor had been in on the secret for months. When Josh came to town to meet some of my friends, I thought it was just another fun night together.
