The couple met on a dating app. On Jessica's profile she stated that she was on a hunt for the world's best cupcake, and Jinard suggested they do just that as their first date. They spent the entire afternoon going to 4-5 different cupcake shops. The rest is history.

Jinard came home with two cupcakes and stated, "since we started dating with cupcakes, it's only right that we end dating with cupcakes" right before he pulled out the wedding ring.
