Jessica was always on the move, a dedicated athlete with a packed schedule. When volleyball season wrapped up in freshman year of high school, she decided to try something new and joined the tennis team, even though she didn’t know anyone there. On her very first day, while walking through the parking lot to meet the coach, she caught sight of the team warming up. Among them was a young man in a gray Nike tank and black shorts, hitting tennis balls with effortless grace. In that moment, Jessica had a feeling, she knew she HAD to join the team. A few days later, she was officially on the court, doing her best to strike up conversations with her new crush, Jeovani. But he was adorably shy and didn’t quite pick up on her hints. As the weeks passed, the two formed a genuine friendship, though Jeovani remained blissfully unaware of Jessica’s not-so-subtle crush. Eventually, Jessica moved on — or so she thought — staying friends with Jeovani while life carried on. But months later, something changed. Jessica realized her feelings hadn’t gone away. Determined to get his attention, she dropped a few more hints… and this time, Jeovani finally caught on. On June 1, 2017, he asked her out, and from that moment on, they’ve been inseparable. They graduated high school together in 2019, and during the height of the pandemic in 2020, Jessica moved in with Jeovani. In 2024, they graduated college side by side and moved to Las Vegas to begin their next chapter — as nurses and partners in life. After many years together, Jeovani finally worked up the courage to ask Jessica the most important question of all. During a trip to Las Vegas in April 2024 to house hunt, he surprised her with a romantic date night at the Stratosphere. On April 25, he took her all the way to the top and, with the glittering Vegas city lights as their backdrop, asked her to marry him. After all the years of waiting for this moment, Jessica, of course, said yes. With just under two months left before their wedding, they’ve recently bought a house and have begun building the life they’ve always dreamed of — a life full of love, adventure, and the promise of great success together.
