For the big day, on Saturday 12 September, the dress code is formal including kilts, tartan trousers, dress or cocktail dress, suit and tie. Important to Note: The ceremony is in a half ruined 15th Century Gothic Church which can be cold even on a warm day. Also Scotland's weather can be unpredictable in late summer; so please make sure you dress for the weather and wear a coat for the ceremony. There will be a few blankets available for those who suffer from the cold.
Tartan is strongly encouraged! (even for guests from further afield). If you're keen to rent a kilt, trews, waistcoat or tie we recommend Eight Yards for good quality and prices https://www.8yards.co.uk
The Dunglass Estate is located in East Lothian, 10 minutes drive from Dunbar. It is approximately 1 hour by car from Edinburgh and 30 minutes from Berwick upon Tweed. We will also arrange a coach for pick up in central Edinburgh around 12:15 as well as a return coach for midnight after the reception. Please let us know in the RSVP if you would like a seat on the coach and we will share more specifics nearer the time.

There is no accommodation on the Dunglass Estate. However we have put together a list of hotels, guest houses and campsites in the local area to Dunglass. Please view the "travel" tab for a selection of options. Please note the weekend of the wedding is the late summer bank holiday in Edinburgh. So we would advise to book your hotel as soon as you can.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults only event so you can relax and enjoy the celebrations.
We would appreciate it if you could refrain from taking photographs during the marriage ceremony in the church. During the rest of the day, please take as many photos as you like! We will have a QR code available and we would be delighted if you would add your photos to the shared album.
