Our story began the Fall semester of 2012 at Merritt College in organic chemistry class. I was getting ready to transfer to a four year university, while Hugo was completing his med school prerequisites. Back then, we were just classmates that had no idea what the future would hold. A couple years later, Hugo and I got invited to a mutual friend’s housewarming party. We hung out the whole night. We had fun and being the gentleman that he is, Hugo gave me a ride home. Right before dropping me off, he casually asked me on a date. There, I said “yes” for the first time. And so for our first date, we hung out in San Francisco, we walked along Pier 7, went to the Exploratorium, and ate burgers. And the rest is history… … SIKE! Some time later, after Hugo messaged me on Instagram, we talked and realized we were both taking the MCAT that year, so we decided to study together. We ended up bonding through music, childhood stories, dad jokes (mostly Hugo’s doing), and of course school stress. Needless to say, we became very close. A few months and an MCAT later, we met up and celebrated finishing the test. Once again, we headed to San Francisco, explored our favorite bars, and Hugo asked me to be his girlfriend. There, I said my second “yes” and we officially became a couple. A little over four years later, we were back on Pier 7, where we went on our very first date years before. There, I said my third “yes” to spend the rest of my life with the man that has brought me so much joy, and makes me excited for what our future life holds. We are happy to have you join us and celebrate as I say my fourth “yes” to Hugo :)

Nuestra historia comenzó el otoño del 2012 en una clase de química. Me estaba preparando para transferirme a la universidad, mientras Hugo completaba sus requisitos para postular a la escuela de medicina. En ese entonces, éramos solo compañeros de clase que no teníamos idea de lo que nos depararía el futuro. Un par de años después, Hugo y yo fuimos invitados a la misma fiesta donde nos reencontramos por primera vez después de haber terminado la clase de química. Pasamos toda la tarde juntos y nos divertimos bastante. Siendo el caballero que es, Hugo me llevó a casa. Justo antes de dejarme, Hugo decide invitarme a salir. Allí fue que dije "sí" por primera vez. Entonces, para nuestra primera cita, pasamos la tarde en San Francisco, caminamos por el muelle Pier 7, fuimos al museo, y comimos hamburguesas. Algún tiempo después, Hugo me envió un mensaje en Instagram, hablamos y nos dimos cuenta de que ese año ambos tomaríamos el examen de admisión de medicina (MCAT), así que decidimos estudiar juntos. Nos conectamos a través de la música, historias de nuestra niñez, bromas clásicas de Hugo, y por supuesto, el estrés de estudiar. La verdad que nos hicimos muy cercanos. Unos meses y un MCAT después, nos reunimos y celebramos haber terminado el examen. Una vez más, fuimos a San Francisco a celebrar, exploramos nuestros bares favoritos y Hugo me pidió que fuera su novia. Allí, dije mi segundo “sí” y oficialmente nos convertimos en pareja. Cuatro años después, volvimos al muelle Pier 7, testigo de nuestra primera cita. Allí dije mi tercer “sí” para pasar el resto de mi vida con el hombre que me ha traído tanta alegría y emoción por lo que nos deparará el futuro. Estamos felices de que nos acompañen y celebren cuando le diga mi cuarto "sí" a Hugo :)
