Hotels & Airbnbs

If you're planning to stay in an Airbnb, we would recommend looking around Balboa Park. Our venue is located in the Hillcrest neighborhood. Specific neighborhoods we would recommend include: Bankers Hills, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, North Park, and South Park. These neighborhoods have a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops, and are all pretty centrally located for any other attractions you may want to visit! If you're planning to stay in a hotel, we would recommend Little Italy or Mission Valley. Little Italy is between the airport & Balboa Park and also has a lot of food options. Mission Valley is a located a bit north of the other areas in town we've recommended, but also has lots of good options for lodging, food, and shopping.

Travel Note

Getting Around San Diego

You're likely able to do without a rental car for the weekend, especially if you're staying near Balboa Park. Rideshares are plentiful in these areas of town and these areas are very walkable. Little Italy also has a train station (Santa Fe Depot) that can be useful for getting around, depending on where you're headed. You'll need to download the Pronto app to utilize the train.
