How will I get from the airport to the resort? Como é que vou do aeroporto para o resort?

EN: A shuttle service from Dreams Tulum Resort& Spa will pick you up and bring you to the resort. (Expect some traffic and about and hour and a half trip) PT: Um serviço de Shuttle da Dreams Tulum Resort& Spa irá buscá-lo e trazê-lo até ao resort. (A viagem pode durar mais ou menos uma hora e meia).

EN: EVERYTHING! All food and drinks, YES that includes alcohol! PT: TUDO! Toda a alimentacao e bebidas, SIM, inclui bebidas alcoólicas!

EN: Who knows, but better safe than sorry! Stick to bottled water. PT: Quem sabe, mas mais vale prevenir do que remediar! Limite-se à água engarrafada.

How do we get tested for COVID-19 to return to the States? Como é que somos testados para a COVID-19 para regressar a Europa?

EN: There are 2 options: 1. When you check into the resort, you will set up your appointment to be tested 24 hours before your departure. They will test you directly on resort property. 2. You can purchase a BinaxNOW COVID test from Walgreens and bring it with you to Mexico. These are the only “at-home” COVID tests that are approved for re-entry into the United States. PT: Quando fizer o check-in no resort, marcará a sua marcação para ser testada 24 horas antes da sua partida. O teste será feito no Resort.

✈️Tips on arriving at the Cancun airport! ✈️

🌊Prepare for immigration and customs! When you land you will go through immigration first. Sometimes this is quick, but at high travel times the lines can get a little backed up. You can fill out the FMM immigration form ahead of time online using this link ( https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/en/solicitud.html ) to print and bring with you. Only use the link from the official government website- there are 3rd party sites which are not secure. They also hand the forms out on the plane so if you plan on doing it that way remember to bring a pen! You can do it ahead of time but it really doesn't matter and doesn’t save time in the immigration line. 🌊At immigration you will show your passport and the FMM form (immigration form). They will stamp your passport/form and return part of the form to you. KEEP THIS FORM. You will need it to leave the country. If it gets lost or damaged you can get a new one at the airport when you are leaving but you have to pay for it.

🌊Once you go through immigration you will head to baggage claim. All luggage is scanned before you recieve it, and they have eliminated the red/green light system screenings in customs in Terminal 3 and 4. After you recieve your luggage you will still head through the customs area.

🌊At the customs area you will see agents and various tables. If you have nothing to declare (ag products, large amounts of money, alcohol or tobacco products, etc) you will just keep going. However, these customs agent *CAN* randomly pull you aside for searches. Don't let this stress you out! Here is a helpful article about what you can legally bring into Mexico Duty free (https://qroo.us/2019/10/04/mexico-how-much-stuff-can-you-bring-duty-free-and-which-items-are-exempt/ ). Sometimes they may give you a hard time. Sometimes they don't care. Just be prepared to explain what you are bringing and why. The vast majority or couples/weddings don't have any issues but it's good to be prepared that it *could* happen so you aren't taken off guard in the moment.

🌊 After passing through the big glass doors at customs, comes the SHARK TANK🦈🦈. KEEP WALKING until you are outside. As you walk down this hallway MANY people will try to stop you and sell you on tours, taxis, timeshares, etc. It can be overwhelming if you aren't expecting it. Just keep your eyes straight ahead and charge on through. Look for the van labeled “Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa” Every step is one step closer to PARADISE 🌴🌴🌴
