FAQs

Question

Why Puerto Rico?

Answer

Puerto Rico is a special place to Jessica because her father's side of the family is from the island. As a child, Jessica, along with her parents and brother, went to Puerto Rico every spring break to visit her grandparents in Arroyo, a town on the southeastern coast of the island. Jessica is excited for first-time visitors to Puerto Rico to enjoy all the island has to offer! Check out the gallery for some pictures of Jessica's family in Puerto Rico throughout the years!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you're staying in the San Juan metropolitan area, you can get by without a car by using Uber. Old San Juan and the Condado area are also very walkable. If there's a popular tourist attraction you'd like to visit that's a little farther away, there are often tours with transportation included that depart from San Juan.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, every invited guest has a plus one.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire please.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Because this is a destination wedding, Evan and Jessica are not asking guests to provide gifts. Your presence is the gift! A card box for well wishes will be available at the reception. If you can't attend the wedding, but would like to treat the newlyweds to a gift, a 'Newlywed Fund' is set up under the Registry webpage.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The wedding reception will include dancing, loud music, and alcohol. As such, we discourage bringing young children. If you have any questions please reach out to the bride or groom directly.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Several hourly rate self-parking lots are located in the vicinity of the wedding venue. Valet Parking is also available with Hotel El Convento for $25.00 plus 11.5% government tax per car, according to availability.

Question

Is the water in Puerto Rico safe to drink?

Answer

Yes, the food and drink standards in Puerto Rico are comparable to those of mainland United States. The tap water is safe to drink as it is filtered and treated at the source.
