How we met

08.05.2018

It was the first Sunday back from summer break. Ethan was an incoming freshman and I was a Junior. When the welcoming speaker asked everyone to greet a neighbor, I turned around and instantly shook Ethans hand. Right after I instantly turned to my friend and asked if she knew who he was because I thought he was super cute. It wasn't until our College ministry's trip to Galveston in September that we even spoke to each other. In October we started dating and the rest is History!

Divine affirmation

Going only where God has called us

Its so easy to say that Ethan and I were called to each other because we love each other. But for us, its so much more than that and God has affirmed us in this many times. There is one specific weekend that I can remember where we both felt that our ministry was no longer meant to be on separate terms. God was calling us into a season where we would serve his Kingdom as a couple. We went to a college Ministry church plant conference in Austin called Texas Roundup last May with our College pastor and some friends. Me and Ethan made it a point to do the majority of breakout groups and hangouts separate so our judgement of what God was saying to us would be unclouded. At the end of the weekend we were both on fire and had similar desires and visions when it came to ministry and what our future held. We didn't even need to say a word to each other. We were on the same path. Moments like this have happened over and over to us. It reminds us that we only step where God has already been.

About the ring...

So about the ring... Ethan and I have had our eyes set on this ring for over a year. Around October, without my knowledge, Ethan asked my father to marry me. He then reached out to our favorite ring designer with plans to me my dream ring. It was a beautiful green sapphire emerald cut gold ring. It was set to deliver the week going into Christmas, but that didn't happen did it? Come January we get in touch with USPS about our ring that is being held at "Customs". Turns out it was actually lost at the lost and found recovery center in Atalanta. All reviews and posts led us to believe we would never get that ring. After many emails we were finally working on a new ring for the original designer. This new ring is going to be even more beautiful than the first! All we have to do is wait. But for now I’ll wear fake rings for fun.
