They do give out one drink token when you arrive and there are many chances to use it throughout the building but save it for the very end because they have one of the highest towers in the city and you can get a pint while looking out over the city in their sky bar.
The Pepper Pot is a lunch spot in Powerscourt Townhouse. The building that this is in is worth going to on its own. It is an old townhouse that has been converted to house a few shops and restaurants. The sandwiches are made on thick fresh bread. It is next door to a beautiful yarn shop, This is Knit.
(Pronounced: Dun Leary) On the Dart line, going south. Dun Laoghaire is a beautiful town right on the water. It has a big park right outside of the train station and a nice walk along the water. If you walk along the water past the main square/library you will get to a swimming spot called the forty foot. It is tucked in behind the wall on the point and even not swimming is worth going to see.
The Forty Foot is a popular swimming spot, all year round. It is also a beautiful location to visit if you aren't up to brave the cold.

It is not in a pretty spot but still very central, the best pint of Guinness, and a true Victorian pub.
This is the only pub we would recommend in Temple Bar.
Grogan's is a cozy central pub.
