FAQs

Question

When is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is on October 10, 2026. Please plan to arrive by 3:45 PM, with the ceremony starting at 4:00 PM.

Question

Is the wedding outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be held outdoors under the trees next to the little white chapel. Please dress accordingly for the fall air.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal Rock Vibes Think stylish with a little edge… like a rock concert, but dressed up. Dressy outfits such as dresses, skirts, slacks, or elevated denim all fit the vibe. Boots, jackets, and a touch of leather are encouraged. Since we’re celebrating outdoors, please consider the weather and bring a layer if needed. Come comfortable, stylish, and ready to dance!

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Our ceremony and most of the reception will be on the grass, so we recommend flats, wedges, or boots. High heels can sink into the ground, so comfy shoes are best!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Free parking is available on-site for your convenience. Just follow the signs! :)

Question

What is the backup plan for rain?

Answer

While we hope to say our 'I Dos' under the trees, the Michigan sky sometimes has its own plans! If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will move the ceremony to the Hall right here on-site. Follow the signs upon arrival.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely! Feel free to snap away and capture the memories! We can’t wait to see things from your perspective too. 📸

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Yes! Children are invited and absolutely welcomed to celebrate with us. Please just make sure to include them in your headcount when you RSVP.

Question

Wedding Gifts?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you’d like to give something, we’d love contributions to our honeymoon fund. Venmo: viscomewedding2026

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a pasta and salad buffet with plenty of options for everyone.🍝🥗

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes! Use #ViscomeWedding2026 to share your photos and memories from our big day. We can’t wait to see all your amazing pics! 📸

Question

Is there a “warm drink station”?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have coffee and hot cocoa available to keep you warm and cozy. ☕ Located inside the hall by the bar.

Question

Are there restrooms on site?

Answer

Yes, there are restrooms in the hall as well as in the main building.

Question

Can guests bring dogs or other pets?

Answer

No, we love animals, but please leave pets at home so everyone can enjoy the wedding safely and comfortably. 🐾

Question

Good vibes only, right?

Answer

Right! We are so grateful to have friends and family from all walks of life celebrating with us. We ask that everyone honors our wish for a politics-free celebration so we can all enjoy this moment together as one.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to the capacity of our venue, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Where can we stay?

Answer

We want everyone to stay safe and keep the celebration going! We have a few on-site options available for the night: The Bunkhouse A great option if you want to stay on-site without camping. This is a shared, “summer camp”-style setup with a few larger rooms featuring bunk beds. Please let us know if you plan to stay in the bunkhouse, as we will only reserve it based on interest. Tent Camping Feel free to bring your own tent and set up in the designated areas we’ll show you. Just keep in mind that October in Michigan can get chilly at night! Campers/RVs You’re welcome to bring a camper or RV, but please note that there are no hookups available on-site. Not a camper? No problem! There are several great hotels just a short drive away. We are not reserving a room block, so feel free to book wherever you find the best deal. We’ve listed a few nearby hotel options on the “Travel” tab. 🎉 Please let us know if you’ll be staying overnight with us by taking this poll: https://poll-maker.com/Q5OOA5KRE

Question

Where is Allenton?
