We met at a bar in the beginning of 2015 at the ages of 21 and 31. We were babies!! This was the place we would casually hang out at, drink beers, and play pool. I remember being so surprised at Donny's age because he looked so young. I remember telling my friend all night long how cute I thought he was, but I was too chicken to talk to him, so she eventually stole his phone and put my number into it. These nights quickly turned into weekly game nights, riding 4-wheelers, and having fires with friends. Now, eleven years later, we are a family of five creating something even better: a lifetime together full of love, laughter, and happiness. Full of cherished moments and endless adventures. And full of growth, trust, and shared dreams.

One evening after work around 6:00 pm, our family and some other very important people to us piled into our pontoon boat, and we headed out on the lake for a treasure hunt. We all had a cold drink in our hands, kids were dressed up as pirates, the boat was decked out in pirate gear, and the music was cranked up full blast. The kids were loving it! When the hunt was over, and all the treasure had been found, Donny got down on one knee in front of me and presented me with the biggest treasure of all.... a beautiful diamond ring!!! Donny had the ring in a small treasure box that he pulled from his pocket but acted as if he pulled it out of the lake as the last piece of treasure.. He seemed nervous as all hell but held it together very well and did a wonderful job! He came up with the idea, and it took him a couple of months to plan it. It was such a well thought out proposal, and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it!
