Having only briefly talked years before we reconnected when Jessica made a comment on a photo of myself with my arm around an empty chair after my fiancée had passed away saying "It's not empty, Lauren is right there next to you. One day you will meet a girl woman enough to share that seat with her." And that's where our story began.

A few days before the anniversary date of agreeing to be his girlfriend, and ruining his plan to do it at a family dinner that night by saying I had already started preparing dinner Ryan sat me down and kept telling me how much I meant to him, how he loved me, and knew Lauren had brought us together. He asked if I was sure I wanted to be his forever and marry him, I said of course I do. Then he pulled the ring out and asked me to marry him.
