We're getting married!

Jess and Danny first laid eyes on each other at a fiesta-themed New Years party at the infamous household "907". Jess, dressed in an afghan blanket cut up to look like a poncho, spotted a guy with the nicest smile she had ever seen. Distracted by piñatas and DJ duties, they did not speak. A year and a half later, Danny was encouraged to ask Jess on a date by a mutual (best) friend, and they met at a pub. A second date followed on which they volunteered to sort shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, followed by another pub. They talked lots. Jess and Danny parted ways for some time, only to bump into each other on Danny's 30th birthday while Danny, clearly on a health kick, was scarfing down a salad for lunch. In between leafy bites, they exchanged pleasantries. Several months later, Danny invited Jess to yet another pub. This time, they never stopped talking!

Jess was wooed by Danny's passion for active transportation and enthusiasm for home renovations self-taught via YouTube and This Old House marathons. Danny enjoyed trying to keep up with Jess, both terms of her raw footspeed around the track and her fast-paced FOMO lifestyle. Together, they endured a global pandemic and came out the other side still smiling.

Danny showed up unannounced at Jess's childhood home armed with beer and baked goods, items sure to guarantee the blessing of her parents. Their response: "It's about time!" A few days later, Danny took Jess on a trail run slightly above either of their fitness levels. 13km in, Danny got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Though we can't be sure whether she was of sound mind due to considerable dehydration, her answer was a resounding "OF COURSE!!"
