What airport should we fly into?

Answer

The closet airport is Florence. However, there are no nonstop flights directly to Florence from the states. There are direct flights to Rome. From Rome you can take the train or a short 50 min flight to Florence. Depending on your departure city, there are some cheaper flight options if you fly into Barcelona, London etc. Once you land in Europe, you can find a cheap flight directly to Florence.
