Christian and Jessica’s story began in a place neither of them expected to find forever love: the gym. Christian had just transitioned out of the Navy when he first noticed Jessica, a new member who quickly became his “gym crush.” From his perspective, he noticed her right away. From hers, it took a little more planning—asking her trainer about him and even calling her cousin with the question, “How do you ask a guy out?” When Jessica finally worked up the courage to lift near Christian, nerves got the best of her. She knocked over her water bottle and, in a moment she still laughs about, accidentally ignored him when he tried to talk to her (headphones firmly on). But shortly after leaving the gym that day, Jessica received a message from Christian on Instagram—and from that moment on, everything changed. It didn’t take long for both of them to realize that what they had found was something rare. What they felt and experienced together wasn’t ordinary, and being together felt easy in a way that was impossible to ignore. Christian fell in love with Jessica’s nurturing nature—the way she cares for him, supports him, and loves him so fully and selflessly. Jessica fell in love with how effortlessly Christian fit into every part of her life, and how he didn’t just belong there—he made it better. She admires his constant desire to learn, grow, and become the best version of himself, never afraid of change or challenge. Above all else, they both cherish the joy they bring to one another. No matter where they are or what they’re doing, they find themselves laughing—every day, all day—grateful for a love that feels light, steady, and deeply genuine. Christian’s proposal was as meaningful as it was unforgettable. Disguised as a birthday trip, he took Jessica to Hocking Hills, hoping to propose somewhere along the trail. Between crowded paths and a much longer hike than planned, the day turned into an adventure of simply finding their way back. That evening, as dusk settled and it was finally just the two of them at their cabin, Christian asked Jessica to spend forever with him. She said yes—without hesitation. What began with a gym crush, a spilled water bottle, and a missed hello has grown into a love built on laughter, growth, and unwavering care. They are endlessly grateful to walk through life together and can’t wait to begin this next chapter side by side.
