Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 1, so we have an idea of how many to expect on the live stream.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

The bulk of our registry is on Amazon, with just a few items on Target.com. Or, you can choose to contribute to our honeymoon fund (hopefully we can go on a trip some time in the future!) or to our kitchen remodeling project (this one is especially exciting!).

Question

How do I get to the livestream?

Answer

If you go to the "Schedule" tab of this website, you should be able to click on "Go to Virtual Event," and the livestream will be embedded directly into the website on the wedding day.

Question

What is a Chinese tea ceremony?

Answer

The tea ceremony is a Chinese wedding tradition that dates back to the 7th century. In the past, marriages were arranged. Because most of the groom’s parents and family members did not have the opportunity to meet the bride until the wedding day, the tea ceremony provided an opportunity for the bride to be formally introduced to the groom’s family. As the bride showed respect to the groom’s parents and elders by serving them tea, they in turn would express their warm welcome and bless the bride, often with jewelry or red envelopes with money, called "hong bao." In modern times, couples might choose to include the bride's parents and elders as well to honor both sides of the family.
