Jess and Brehnden met in Utah, through work, where they were supporting the same program. Brehnden immediately thought Jess was one of the sweetest individuals he had ever met. Jess thought Brehnden was super intimidating when he showed up with a mohawk and talking about his motorcycle. They became friends as they started to ski and go camping with their shared friend group, and continued to hit it off the more time they spent together. Despite their fears of starting to date someone who sits 5 cubicles away, they gave it a try. Their first date was to Nacho Daddy after watching Brehnden play in a kickball game. Obviously things went well, because now they’ve upgraded to playing kickball together, and avoided any awkward cubicle drama! While dating, Jess and Brehnden have gotten to travel all over the world together including Puerto Rico, Europe and Indonesia. They love hiking, skiing, and exploring new places together. Jess has finally convinced Brehnden that skiing is superior to snowboarding, and Brehnden helps Jess figure out her taxes and get her oil changed regularly. On July 5, 2025, they were in Colorado visiting family. Brehnden planned a hike from Vail, just minutes from the front door of his parents’ house, over Gore Creek Range, to Silverthorne, just minutes from Jess's family's house. The hike was full of beautiful views and gorgeous wildflowers. On the top of the pass, halfway between the two houses, Brehnden got down on one knee and popped the question. Fourteen and a half miles later, they were able to celebrate with friends and family gathered that afternoon for a 4th of July BBQ. Since getting engaged, both Jess and Brehnden have found new jobs in Colorado and are excited to be living in and planning a wedding in Colorado!
