The camp will gather all the names of guests registered for 1 or 2 nights. We will do our best to group everyone with people they know or with guests who will make great cabin mates! If you are uncomfortable with your assigned bunk, please give us a call. At the very least, we can assist you in cancelling your cabin reservation and booking a hotel room nearby.
Each cabin sleeps 12-15 people. They are fully equipped with electricity, running water, and air conditioning. Accommodations include towels, pillows, pillowcases, and sheets (fitted and flat). Bathrooms are fully stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels. See photo page for visual.
Pack like you're going camping (blanket/sleeping bag, camping chair, umbrella, etc.) Please be sure to bring all of your needed personal care items. This is a summer camp. There is no convenient store for forgotten items. Standard hotel amenities will not be found in your cabin (shampoo, iron, blow dryer, mini fridge, etc.). You are welcome to bring your own food and/or beverages. Keep in mind cabins do not have refrigerators.
Ceremony (Friday Evening) Dressy-Casual Our ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting. Please dress comfortably for a summer evening. Think sundress/ khakis. The grass can be soft, so maybe rethink the stilettos. Camp Activities (Saturday) Dress appropriately for the activities you plan to enjoy. This should be a no brainer, moving on. Reception (Saturday Evening) Semi-Formal Our reception will be held in an open air pavilion, rain or shine. Pocono evenings tend to be cool; you may want a sweater/cardigan.
Kindly refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony. We do not want the professional photos to include 25 hands holding cell phones in the air. Guests may post pictures of the rest of the weekend on their social media channels. Please tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #banyaitothebigday so we can find them!
Please email us at banyaitothebigday@gmail.com with your questions.
