Beau was working a fire as a Coeur D'Alene hotshot, and Jessie was working as a horse packer in the Frank Church Wilderness riding horses out of woods. There were so many factors that could've changed the timing and meeting place, but fate had other plans when they met in a backwoods parking lot. Beau, covered in soot and dirt from a fire, had the guts to strike up conversation with a dirty cowgirl unsaddling horses, ask for her number, and two weeks later followed through with a phone call that lasted 3+hours. They were far from close in proximity, with Beau living in Coeur D'Alene and Jessie 8 hours south in Victor, so we decided to meet halfway in Darby, Montanta for our first date. It was a bold chance, but they both fell madly in love and continued to write love letters to one another all fall as Beau finished up fires and started hunting while Jessie worked at a backcountry ranch during hunting season. It was during that time both of them realized this was something bigger and special, and the cards fell into place.
