It's no secret that the couple first matched on Tinder in October of 2016. After a few weeks of texting, phone calls, and Snapchats (to be sure each other was real), the two agreed to meet in Terre Haute, IN. This was the halfway point between Baylor's graduate school, in Charleston, Illinois, and Jessica's university in Indianapolis. After a few uncertain months and a very dramatic reunion in the rain (Halpert vibes . . .), the couple made it official in January of 2017 and have been together ever since. The two continued their two-hour long distance relationship for a year and a half while they both finished school. They bonded over music, video games, and learning to cook whole food meals. Their love for conversation is what really solidified the relationship. They found themselves talking and discussing subjects for hours, sometimes rehashing the same topics from new perspectives. In the summer of 2018, Baylor, Jessica, and their mutt, Darcy, moved to Broad Ripple together. Since that point, they've seen over 300 artists, shaped their diet and lifestyle to match their ideals, and collected dozens of vinyl records of (sometimes weird) albums they know intimately. Baylor proposed with a bonsai tree, a Kishi Bashi record, and a handwritten letter detailing how their love has grown organically. The two continue to learn and grow in Indianapolis.
