We're Getting Married

We first met as neighbors when I was 12yrs old (the new kids in the neighborhood) when my mother decided to make our summer house, our forever home. We suddenly became best friends from the very first time seeing her face, to actually remembering her name. From that day forward we vowed to be nothing but besties no matter what. Our friendship took us on wonderful adventures, trips, bike rides, school programs, projects, after school activites, prom, graduation and so much more. When I became pregnant with my first born she was such an amazing friend to have in my corner. I didn't want to lose her especially since we had become so close. Through those years of loving her as a best friend, I'd realized that I loved her much more than that and wanted to spend every second of everyday and every hour with her. She moved away after we graduated, I think that gave me the power I needed to tell her how I actually felt about her. I confessed my love to her and promised to be there for her always and forever, I told her that we've been together this long really as friends and team-mates, let's try a different title now and be soulmates. On June 14, 2018 we became one and I've been falling head over hills for my best friend ever since. I promised her that I won't ever let go again, if you're drowning we drowning together baby.. To others it may seem like we've only been engaged for a little while, but in reality I've been engaged to her for 12 years and now I'm going to make her my wife. 😘😘😘💛❤️💛❤️💍💍👩‍👩‍👦👭

So it started off like any other day In Carlisle, Pennsylvania. We woke up, showered, and got dressed. My beautiful girlfriend was like when you get dressed can you put on something nice. I was like okay indeed baby, but where are we going? She tells me don't worry about it baby, just make sure it's warm. At this moment my heart is pounding and racing, i'm getting nervous and shaking like leaves on a tree on a windy day. I gets my son dressed and now we are waiting for our ride. My sister and her fiance comes and picks us up on our journey. We ended up having a fun day at mountain; We hiked up the mountain, into the woods, we laid down our blankets on this cold windy day next to the stream. My baby didn't tell me that it was going to be this cold out, but we are enjoying ourselves. A few hours in it gets cold I was ready to leave but we decided to try and make a fire, while that was happening my babygirl asked me to take a walk with her. At this point I don't know whats going on I'm scared. We are walking next to the stream, she pulls out her phone and starts recording. I'm like baby what's going on. She pulls the ring out and gets down on her knees, I immediately start crying.. When I tell y'all how emotional I was just know it was the best time of my life even though it was cold, THE FREAKING BEST! I look at the ring and start panicking just to think I was engaged to my best friend I was going to be married soon. On July 8th I flipped the script I hosted a little get together at my house, we grilled, played beer pong and did fireworks. I had planned to propose the whole night, I looked for the best poem to keep her distracted at the end of the night. She was sitting on step and my sister, her fiance, and I read our poem and then I got down on my knee at the end my sissy pressed play to record the video and I asked her if she would love to be my wife and she said YES!!!!
