There are two airport options: 1) Queretataro Intercontinental Airport (QRO) 2) Guanajuato Leon Del Bajio (BJX) * You will need to arrange airport transportation. No need to rent a car. Travel is a little over an hour for each.

Passport: Make sure your passport is valid! Many airlines will not allow you to leave the country if it expires within 6 months of your departure. Warm Layers: San Miguel gets chilly at night (think Colorado). The city is located in the mountains- not the beach! Expect warm temperatures during the day and in the low 50s at night. Comfortable Shoes: Please bring comfortable shoes for navigating the cobblestone streets of San Miguel! Contact Your Bank Before Leaving: Most spots in town take US dollars and major credit cards. We recommend taking advantage of the exchange rate and getting pesos out at a local ATM in San Miguel.

Transportation Around San Miguel

There are cabs all around the town of San Miguel - Please carry Pesos to pay the drivers - They will not take credit cards. They will also take small dollar bills. There are various ATM Machines around the main square of town where you will be able to withdraw Pesos or you can do so at the airports upon arrival.
